No matter how hard we may try, waste is inevitable. Considering this, PWS has taken multiple steps to ensure the reduction of waste products into the landfill. Based on a company our size, PWS has made commendable steps to reduce our impact. We utilize 4 streams of waste management: wood recycling, all other recycling, composting and waste. Full details of the policy are available in our waste management plan.

 

For example, our corporate facility has 2 compost bins, a 30 yard dumpster for wood recycling (we also donate scrap wood to 2 local technical schools), an 8 yard recycling bin and ONLY a 2 yard waste bin! All other facilities use similar disposal methods.
